Your job

The Contracting Unit is a specialised team responsible for all agreements entered into between AACB and its clients. This concerns our master contracts, as well as for example credit agreements, security documents, service agreements and guarantees. Your main task is to negotiate these agreements with our (prospective) clients and to handle their questions and comments. You are responsible for achieving the best outcome from a legal perspective, but also for liaising with several stakeholders in order to take into account the operational, commercial and risk perspectives. Furthermore, the Contracting Unit is the first point of contact internally for any contractual matters. You are encouraged to share your knowledge and present yourself as a sparring partner for the various departments within AACB.

Your working environment

You will be located at the ABN AMRO Clearing Bank (AACB) headquarters in Amsterdam as part of a small team within Clearing Europe Risk. Since you will be working together with colleagues and clients from around the globe, English is the primary language.

Your profile & skills

We are looking for a legal professional with thorough knowledge of the law, while also interested in financial markets. Our ideal candidate combines strong communicative and analytical skills with a pragmatic attitude. 

-    Master’s degree in Dutch private law 
-    Preferably specialised in contract law, property law, securities law, and/or financial law
-    1-3 years relevant working experience
-    Fluent in Dutch and English
-    Excellent communication skills, verbally as well as in writing
-    Precise and structured, eye for detail
-    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
