CEPS-ECMI conference: Sustainable Financial Markets

News item -

ABN AMRO Clearing is hosting the CEPS-ECMI conference on the 4th of December 2019.

About the event

The European capital markets ecosystem is expected to contribute to long-term sustainable development. This means that investors should be well equipped to take into consideration other aspects than the purely financial, such as materially relevant environmental, social and governance (ESG) factors, in an integrated and transparent manner.

However, the incorporation of these broad and sometimes internally contradicting components as well as the evolving policy framework and industry practice present significant challenges for the actors involved. During this year’s CEPS-ECMI conference hosted by ABN AMRO Clearing in Amsterdam, policy-makers, supervisors, market participants and academics are invited to share their experiences and views on the implementation of the sustainability in financial markets.

About CEPS and ECMI

The Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) and its affiliate, the European Capital Markets Institute (ECMI), are leading think tanks and forums for debate on European affairs.

ABN AMRO Clearing hosted the CEPS-ECMI Conference on "Recovery & Resolution of CCP’s" in June 2017 and on "Prudential Rules for Investment Firms" in April 2018.
ABN AMRO Clearing is proud to host this year's conference at its ABN AMRO headquarters in Amsterdam. Jan Bart de Boer (our Chief Commercial Officer) and Pauline Engelberts (our Chief Operations Officer) will be present as speaker at the conference with Karel Lanno (CEO of CEPS and General Manager ECMI) and welcome you to join us.
